Small Town USA
Occasionally, our horse transportation trips take us through small towns in America, that are unique and worth capturing on camera. This page will display pictures of those towns and will give us the opportunity to share part of our trips with you. We hope you enjoy looking at these pictures, as much as we enjoy taking them. This month's Small Town, USA is not what most folks would think of, as a "small town", but I just could not resist, Free Vacuums, a roadside vendor, and home of the band, Alabama. Welcome to Fort Payne, AL, THE SOCK CAPITAL OF THE WORLD! The gentleman seated by the road, selling pumpkins and watermelons, is Rufus Smith. Mr. Smith doesn't live in Fort Payne, he resides over in the next county. He was kind enough to allow me to take his picture and put it here, for all to see. Thank you, Mr. Smith.
